Can you tell us a little about your background before starting at your company?
Every movement begins with a story — and mine began with a mother who showed me that entrepreneurship brings freedom and leadership is an act of service. Originally from Cameroon, I’ve spent my career serving clients across both the U.S. and Canada — leading cross-border relationships in private wealth management, fintech, and business transformation. My mother has been my greatest inspiration. Her entrepreneurial journey, following a successful corporate career, taught me the power of reinvention, courage, and purpose. Watching her pivot and thrive ignited my own belief that leadership is most powerful when it uplifts others.
That belief led me to found Mothers to Daughters (M2D) — a for-impact organization designed to empower women globally through intergenerational mentorship, leadership development, and community building. What began as a vision rooted in my personal story has evolved into a global movement championing women’s advancement and social impact.
How did you start at your company? What were the first steps you took to get it off the ground and how did you identify the need for your product/service in the market?
Mothers to Daughters was founded in 2020, at the height of the pandemic — a time that forced many of us to rediscover what connection truly meant. What started as an in-person mentorship concept was repurposed into a series of virtual, intimate dialogues where I served as a matchmaker of topics, partnerships, and people — connecting mentors (“mothers”) and mentees (“daughters”) with aligned goals and industries.
Three years later, we’ve launched over 200 mentorship pairs across our intergenerational programs, with a growing footprint in both Canada and the U.S., and an audience that spans the globe. Our networking events have become cornerstones of our community — bridging fashion, arts, sports, technology, finance, and wellness to celebrate the full spectrum of women’s leadership.
Our mentorship program operates like an incubator — supporting women who are new to entrepreneurship, those in their first three years of business, or those seeking to pivot into new sectors. We aim to dismantle the myth that entrepreneurship is for everyone — because success demands investment in mindset, support systems, and continuous learning. As founder, those values are not just principles; they are my compass.
What innovations or unique features set your company apart from others in the industry?
At Mothers to Daughters, innovation thrives at the intersection of generational intelligence and AI consciousness. We believe in bridging the gap between ancestral wisdom and the realities of our rapidly increasing digital world — teaching women how to integrate emotional intelligence, adaptability, and authenticity into modern leadership.
Our programs help women cultivate the balance between being visionary and being grounded — equipping them to perform at their best while building and sustaining their legacies. We don’t just mentor women; we help them develop the confidence, consciousness, and clarity to lead with purpose.
This holistic approach is what distinguishes us — blending emotional depth with strategic growth to create leaders who are not only successful but self-aware and socially impactful.
What has been the most effective strategy for scaling your business?
Our philosophy centers on incremental growth over viral moments. We value consistency, integrity, and purpose-driven partnerships. Every relationship we build — from corporate alliances to community collaborations — is rooted in authenticity and shared vision.
Our long-term ambition is bold yet attainable: to collaborate with global institutions and partners in launching and supporting 100,000 women entrepreneurs by 2035. We see women entrepreneurs as essential drivers of the global economy — fueling innovation, sustainability, and inclusive prosperity.
For us, growth means empowerment that lasts — not numbers that fade.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future of your company?
Looking ahead, Mothers to Daughters is expanding its impact through the creation of the Generational Intelligence Lab— a pioneering space dedicated to research, leadership development, and experiential learning. The Lab will house a Leadership School and offer curated experiences designed to foster gender cohesion and collective success.
We believe we win together when we come together — and this next chapter embodies that philosophy. Through the Lab and our programs, we will also introduce Mother–Daughter Ambassador pairs around the world, representing our mission of shared growth, mentorship, and global sisterhood.
My advice to leaders and changemakers is this: build from a place of authenticity. True success lies not in speed, but in sustainability. Invest in self-mastery as deeply as you invest in strategy, and surround yourself with communities that elevate your purpose.
At Mothers to Daughters, we’re not just building an organization — we’re nurturing a legacy of women who lead with heart, think with vision, and grow together.
