Can you tell us a little about your background before starting at your company?
I have been in the software industry for my entire career. I started as a SW developer, then switched to Marketing. I worked at large companies, including Cisco, but I got my biggest break at NVIDIA, where I joined as a Product Marketing Manager early in the last decade and launched GPU adoption campaigns like GPU Test Drive. I then ran Marketing/DG teams of 5 Silicon Valley Startups. 3 of them exited successfully.
How did you start at your company? What were the first steps you took to get it off the ground and how did you identify the need for your product/service in the market?
I was very touched by my co-founder Dogan’s story. He is a serial entrepreneur, but he had to shut down his last company, Paillor, because he could not get the SOC 2 report(a compliance report you need to sell to enterprises) on time; he was asked to wait 6 months and was charged more than $50K. We discussed improving that status, given that he is not the only victim. After various brainstorming sessions, we found a way for an easier and faster solution, and DSALTA was born. Now our customers use our AI Agent and get compliant in just 7 days vs 6-9 months.
What innovations or unique features set your company apart from others in the industry?
We have one patent, but we also use the latest technological innovations, such as LLMs and vector databases, which have significantly made our product stand out compared to legacy GRC systems that were built on 10-year-old technology. Customers choose us due to our unmatched speed, extreme ease of use and red-carpet support.
What has been the most effective strategy for scaling your business?
Partnerships. We work with the largest incubators, and they bring us a good number of deals. In addition, we’re leveraging conventional and a bit unconventional inbound and outbound methods to generate leads for DSALTA.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future of your company?
In the short term, we want to be synonymous with AI Compliance and want to be the first choice of all startups. In the next 3 years, we’d like to be in the top 2 players in the GRC Industry.
