Can you tell us a little about your background before starting at your company?

As a repeat founder with two exits, I’ve pretty much spent my entire career building companies from the ground up.

My first startup, LetsIntern, grew into one of India’s largest internship platforms, with 3M+ students and 30,000+ employers, and was eventually acquired by a leading ed-tech.

I then built Chtrbox, one of the early creator marketing companies. We worked with 20,000+ creators and 1,500+ brands before being acquired by a US tech-media group, followed by an SME IPO in India last year.

Across both journeys, one problem kept showing up: finding really good people and partners to work with is still surprisingly hard. Whether you’re looking for a great marketer, creative specialist or the right agency, you still end up asking people you trust, “Do you know someone good?”

That was a big part of the idea behind SuperStuff. Today we’re building a network across both the US and India, helping brands find everything from great in-market experts and agencies to really strong, more cost-effective teams offshore.

How did you start at your company? What were the first steps you took to get it off the ground and how did you identify the need for your product/service in the market?

SuperStuff really came out of a problem I’d experienced myself for years.

As a founder, I was constantly looking for great marketers, creatives, freelancers and agencies. And even after spending more than a decade in the industry, I still relied heavily on WhatsApp groups and asking friends, “Know someone good for ___?”

That felt broken.

We started SuperStuff with a pretty simple idea: make discovering and working with great marketing talent and agencies much easier.

The first version was actually very manual. We built a curated community, spoke to companies about what they were looking for, and personally made matches. That helped us understand what really matters when someone hires an agency or marketing expert, beyond what’s written on their website or résumé.

That has since grown into an ecosystem of 40,000+ marketing professionals and agencies, with companies all sizes using SuperStuff to find creative and marketing agencies, full-time and fractional talent, and project-based teams across the US and India.

What innovations or unique features set your company apart from others in the industry?

I think the traditional hiring and agency procurement model is outdated. AI should now make discovery feel much more like talking to a really well-connected person who understands what you need.

That’s what we’re building towards with SuperStuff.

One of our early products was Super.Page, which I sometimes describe as a GitHub for marketers. Instead of just text resumes telling you where someone has worked, it helps actually showcase the campaigns, brands and work they’ve done. We’ve also built video-based intros and, most recently, Marko, our AI superconnector that helps companies discover relevant marketing talent and agencies through a simple conversation.

What makes this especially interesting right now is how quickly AI itself is changing the marketing industry.

A social media agency isn’t really just a social media agency anymore. Increasingly, it’s a social media + AI agency. Their workflows and their teams are changing, and the kind of work they can deliver is changing. At the same time, completely new types of specialists and agencies are emerging almost every week.

We want SuperStuff to understand that changing ecosystem and make it much easier for a company to figure out who is actually great at what they need today.

What has been the most effective strategy for scaling your business?

Community and product-led growth have probably been the two biggest things for us.

Early on, rather than just asking talent to join another platform, we built free AI-powered tools that were useful to them. People started using their Super.Page as their link-in-bio, adding it to résumés and email signatures, and sharing their pages in their own communities. That created a nice organic loop where the product itself helped bring more people into the network.

Community has been equally important. We’ve built a network of thousands of marketers, founders, agency leaders and operators, and a lot of our best growth has simply come from people recommending someone, sharing a requirement or coming back to us when they need something else.

And I’ve personally had to learn the LinkedIn/content game! Sharing what we’re building, what we’re learning and interesting people and work from the community has become a pretty meaningful acquisition channel for us.

One thing I’ve learned from building marketplaces is that you can’t manufacture trust overnight. Having 100,000 profiles means very little if you can’t tell me which three I should actually speak to. So we’ve focused a lot on building the network and relationships first, and are now using AI to make that knowledge much more scalable.

Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future of your company?

The big question we’re exploring is: what does marketing and creative collaboration look like in an AI-first world?

I don’t think the answer is simply another job board or directory with AI added to it.

There are already 40,000+ people within the SuperStuff ecosystem, and our focus is increasingly on making that network much more intelligent: understanding what people are genuinely great at, the brands and industries they’ve worked with, their proof of work, how they compare with others, and where they fit into all the new roles and capabilities emerging because of AI.

I’ve always found the contrast with product discovery interesting. Today I can find some obscure vintage T-shirt online and have it at my doorstep tomorrow. I can get food delivered in minutes. But if I need the right person or agency to help grow my company, it can still take weeks of searching, referrals and conversations.

That feels like a problem technology should be able to solve much better.

Ultimately, I’d love for finding the right marketer, creative expert or agency to feel less like searching through hundreds of profiles and more like asking the smartest, best-connected person in the industry: “Here’s what I’m trying to do. Who should I talk to? Done!”
