Can you tell us a little about your background before starting your company?
Prior to founding Tradesk, I spent over 15+ years in financial services, holding senior roles across fintech, equity capital markets, investment management, and corporate finance. My previous experience includes serving as CFO and CIO of a large data center joint venture, division president of a Nasdaq-listed IT services firm, senior research analyst at a leading U.S. investment bank, and investment analyst at a top-tier hedge fund.
How did you start your company? What were the first steps you took to get it off the ground and how did you identify the need for your product/service in the market?
We founded the company with a vision to merge finance and technology, delivering institutional-grade tools to the next generation of retail investors—especially busy professionals outside the finance industry. To validate the need, we interviewed friends, family, and target customers through beta testing. We conducted in-depth market research on existing platforms and third-party vendors, then tapped into a global talent pool to build our tech stack from the ground up—prioritizing flexibility, scalability, and long-term operating leverage
What innovations or unique features set your company apart from others in the industry?
We’re building an industry-leading AI investment co-pilot that empowers users to track portfolio performance in real time and research individual stocks with greater speed, depth, and efficiency.
What has been the most effective strategy for scaling your business?
We begin by engaging directly with customers to uncover their core pain points and unmet needs. From there, we assemble top-tier talent to design and develop a platform that delivers thoughtful, effective solutions tailored to those insights.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future of your company?
We aim to be the go-to platform for non-finance professionals seeking modern, intuitive and AI powered tools to confidently manage their investments.
